Open Enrollment ended February 15th for ACA plans (Obamacare). What this means is that right now you can’t sign up for an individual health insurance plan until the next Open Enrollment period, which starts in November for coverage beginning in January. That is, unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
Some ways you might qualify:
- You lost your group coverage.
- Your COBRA coverage is running out.
- You got married.
- You got divorced.
- You had a baby.
- You just moved to the area.
- You retired.
- You adopted a child.
- You just became a citizen.
Let’s take a look at your situation. If you can’t qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, there are short-term solutions we can look at to get you covered until the next Open Enrollment.
